Nepal Begin T20 World Cup Preparations With 24-Member Camp Squad
Nepal have announced a 24-member preliminary squad for a training camp as preparations begin for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The camp will play a crucial role in shaping Nepal’s final 15-man squad, with selectors set to trim the group ahead of the global tournament, which gets underway on February 7 across India and Sri Lanka. Co-hosts India have already become the first team to confirm their final squad for the event.

Nepal have largely retained the core group that impressed in their 2–1 T20I series victory over the West Indies in September and October, keeping faith with 16 players from that successful campaign. They have also widened their options by adding eight more players, including Sher Malla, Binod Bhandari, Abinash Bohora and Basir Ahamad, all of whom caught the eye with strong performances in the recent Nepal Premier League.
The Rhinos secured qualification for the 2026 T20 World Cup after an unbeaten run at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final in Oman last October. The upcoming tournament will mark Nepal’s second consecutive appearance and their third overall at a T20 World Cup.
Nepal have been placed in Group C, where they will face strong opposition in England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Italy.
